Tencent unveils Hy4 Preview, an open-weight model with 770B parameters ↗

China’s Tencent has released Hy4 Preview, a new open-weight language model with 770 billion total parameters (49 billion active) and a 1 million token context window. It is a big jump from July’s Hy3, which had 295 billion parameters. The model handles text only, with no vision input.

Music publishers Sony Music and Warner Chappell have filed suit against Anthropic in a federal court in Northern California. They seek damages for tens of thousands of copyrighted works — up to $150,000 per work, plus up to $25,000 for each instance where identifiable copyright data was stripped.

A judge ruled that the Pentagon’s blacklisting of Anthropic earlier this year was unconstitutional, handing the AI lab another win against the Trump administration. The lawsuit, filed in March in California, argued the move was retaliation for Anthropic setting its own red lines.

Plaud has introduced a new AI wearable that records, transcribes, and summarizes conversations — this time as earbuds instead of a pin. The Plaud One Explorer Edition can be worn like regular earbuds or used through its standalone charging case, which includes built-in 4G for uploading and processing.
